Milkbank House | PT.IV | The VIS Collection | 35:Chronicle

black & white, Indoor, photography, structures

Everywhere, is Someone’s Happy Place.

Back in July this year, I posted the last of my three posts of Milkbank House, shot in 715 and 760nm infrared. In conjunction with the IR frames, I also made a good number of visible light shots during the same visit for black and white output and, intended to post these an awful lot sooner than this. These shots have been sat waiting for me in my ‘To Post” folder ever since I finished processing them. I hope, during the past three months, that they haven’t lost their relevance.

    1. It’s actually a shot looking up through what I think was a ventilation turret for the walk in pantry and adjoining larder behind me, as took it. I’m so glad you like it! 🙏

  1. I don’t know why but it seems I passed by these posts earlier but now it caught me. You know, I like this triumph of nature. It makes me think that anything will become grass one day. People, buildings. Civilization on the whole.
By the way, interesting angle on the third shot!

    1. Thank you Alena! I love this old place and yes, even though nature is taking over, it seems to add more beauty to the structure of the whole building. Yes, we are all heading the same way eventually, but while we live, we can fend off the roots of time. Thank for your thoughtful words, Alena! 🙏

    2. While we live we can try to spoil everything around 😀 Well, it’s a joke. But there is a grain of truth in every joke.

    3. Ha! I agree, completely, Alena! And that’s all we can do, and, make our mark! 😁 Have a really good week! 🙏
